To execute the Commercial Plan for the range of Brands within Coffee & Bakery OB, including Upper Crust, AMT, West Cornwall Pasty, The Pasty Shop, Soul & Grain, Camden Food, Panopolis, Ritazza and Café Bar.

The role supports two Commercial Managers in C&B who each have a defined portfolio of the above brands, so requires a high level of personal organisation and the ability to streamline activities across the team and prioritise accordingly.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting the delivery of all aspects of the C&B Commercial Plan including, but not limited to;
  • Prepare Brand Forms and submit to Data Team for all C&B activities ranging from Range Reviews through to Pricing updates
  • Prepare and submit Marketing Briefs for Creative design, complete Allocations and track progress
  • Manage Xurrent tickets, including investigation through to resolution, for all C&B Brands
  • Manage SharePoint posts and Operational Communication for all initiatives and required Unit updates across all C&B Brands
  • Support Weekly Trade reporting of C&B performance, including use and interrogation of PowerBI reports to identify performance successes and opportunities for improvement
  • Attend Mobilisation meetings where required and support with Commercial aspects of Mobilisation, including assisting Handover days and Merchandising where practicable
  • Collaborate with Central Ops regarding unit level Availability reporting and attend the Availability meetings
  • Liaise with Procurement and Supply Chain to ensure availability of products and maintenance of stock levels at sites
  • Monitor Compliance through Safety Culture and unit visits and feedback positive experiences and opportunities to improve to relevant stakeholders
  • Maintain brand support materials for C&B brands, including Operational Excellence Manuals, Brand Standards, POS guides, equipment lists, Approved Product Lists and Price Tiers
  • Input into and support delivery of Range Reviews for both MIH ranges and Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG)
  • Input into planogram layouts for all C&B Brands
  • Monitor competitor activity of new products, promotions and pricing on a regular basis to support commercial proposals and highlight any opportunities to the Commercial Manager
  • Project manage various activities from idea generation through to implementation at units
  • Support rollout of new SSP software systems

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Some experience of using price, range, display and space, upselling, margin and category optimisation to deliver commercial results
  • Knowledge of external trends in the Food and Beverage and/or Grocery industry
  • Good understanding of the operational reality in units i.e. understanding of waste management and minimisation, labour planning and optimisation, equipment, space and layout etc.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach with the ability to problem solve and question the status quo
  • Ability to work at pace and effectively prioritise competing demands on time
  • Analytical and commercial with the ability to make data driven decisions
  • Impactful verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional level of attention to detail
  • Proficient user of Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Specific experience of Coffee & Bakery within F&B industry
