The Role

As Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing new business opportunities and identifying potential customers across the region
  • Managing and growing existing accounts through exceptional customer service and relationship management
  • Selling products to contractors, sub‑contractors, and builders’ merchants
  • Achieving and exceeding sales and margin targets
  • Monitoring market trends and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities
  • Working closely with internal branch teams to deliver a seamless customer experience
  • Building a strong presence within the local construction market

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven sales or business development experience within the construction materials or builders’ merchant sector
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to drive profitable sales growth
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills
  • Self‑motivated, proactive, and target‑driven
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Knowledge of the North London and Home Counties market would be advantageous
