The Role

Project Planner

Responsibilities

  • Understanding the client's project requirements
  • Understanding NEC contract requirements
  • Understanding framework agreement requirements
  • Producing and maintaining project programme
  • Coordinating monthly updates from the project teams, including subcontractors
  • Producing monthly reports for the team and client, including narratives
  • Cost loading and resource loading the programme
  • Working with estimating and commercial teams on tender projects
  • Producing monthly progress reports
  • Monitoring and tracking change control
  • Liaising with the project teams to baseline programme
  • Liaising with the client planning manager
  • Monitoring progress of the project through all phases with the project team
  • Compiling weekly/monthly reports as dictated by the project
  • Issuing monthly programme updates in line with contract requirements
  • Monitoring performance of subcontractors against programme
  • Attending collaborative meetings with the client
  • Attending collaborative meetings with subcontractors and project teams
  • Breaking out package of specific works as required by the project team
  • Reporting change to the project manager for acceptance

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • 5 years of demonstrated planning experience
  • Competent in the use of Primavera P6
  • Primavera P6 certified or demonstrable experience
  • Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team
  • Working knowledge of the NEC suite of contracts
  • Demonstrable knowledge of construction methods
