HR Manager / HR Business Partner (Temporary)

We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Manager / HR Business Partner to join a busy and fast‑paced education setting on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident HR professional who thrives in a people‑focused environment and can provide operational HR support across the full employee lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and responding to day‑to‑day staff HR enquiries
  • Supporting managers with employee relations matters from end‑to‑end
  • Managing the full recruitment cycle, including:
    • Drafting job adverts
    • Shortlisting and interview coordination
    • Liaising with recruitment agencies
    • Issuing offer letters and contracts
    • Coordinating onboarding and induction processes for new starters
  • Supporting HR administration and compliance within the education sector
  • Assisting with absence management, probation reviews, and policy guidance
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems
  • Providing general HR Business Partner support to leadership teams

About You

  • Previous HR Manager or HRBP experience
  • Experience working within a busy education or public sector environment (desirable)
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations processes from end‑to‑end
  • Experience managing recruitment and onboarding activities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent experience preferred
