Analyst – LPS Data Analyst

Due to growth, we are looking for an Analyst to join the team. Reporting to the LPS Data Lead, you will provide hands‑on analytical and data support across LPS's monoline facilities and wider Lockton portfolio solutions initiatives. The primary focus of the role will be to:

  • Continue building and maintaining the data infrastructure underpinning Lockton Portfolio Solutions monoline facilities.
  • Support opportunity scoping through the interrogation and modelling of premium and claims data.
  • Support the Data Lead in the preparation of high-quality data packs and submissions for insurance markets.
  • Build and maintain reporting and dashboards to monitor the performance of LPS facilities.
  • Provide analytical support across a range of LPS strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

You should have the following experience:

  • End-to-end development of Power BI reports, including ETL, data modelling, DAX expression writing and report creation.
  • Proficiency in SQL development and good practices in query writing and optimisation.
  • Good understanding of relational databases and data architecture.
  • Advanced Excel, including Power Query and Power Pivot.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights.
  • Strong communication skills – able to present findings to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  • Experience working within the insurance sector.

Desirable skills

  • Familiarity with London Market data processes, including BDX, Xchanging or Vipr.
  • Experience working with large, multi-source datasets and building data pipelines.
  • Knowledge of Python for data analysis and automation.
  • Experience building automated reporting solutions or data workflows.
  • Hands‑on experience using Databricks for analytics and reporting workflows.
