Overview
We are seeking an IT Expert Principal with deep expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF 5.2) and readiness to operate across VCF9 environments. This is a senior consulting and technical leadership role, supporting large‑scale, security‑conscious enterprise and public‑sector clients.
You will act as a lead architect / technical authority, responsible for design assurance, complex delivery, and client‑facing leadership across VMware Cloud Foundation implementations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design and delivery of VMware Cloud Foundation solutions (VCF 5.2, with progression to VCF9)
- Provide technical leadership across vSphere, vSAN, NSX, vDefend and Aria Suite
- Support upgrades, optimisation and lifecycle management of VCF platforms
- Engage directly with clients, providing trusted technical advisory and design authority
- Produce high‑quality architecture designs, low‑level designs and knowledge‑transfer materials
- Ensure solutions meet security, compliance and operational standards
Skills & Experience
- 5+ years’ experience delivering VMware Cloud Foundation solutions
- Strong hands‑on experience with VCF 5.x (VCF 9 exposure advantageous)
- VMware certification (VCF / VCP‑VCF highly desirable)
- Deep expertise across vSphere, vSAN, NSX, Aria Operations & Aria Automation
- Strong automation and scripting capability
- Confident stakeholder engagement in complex, regulated environments
- SC Clearance preferred (or demonstrably clearable)
