The business is now looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to champion best practice and act as the primary lynchpin for internal colleagues, external partners and customer stakeholders alike.
Reporting to the Board and working closely with the Finance Director and Technical Director you will have extensive experience of delivering technical/engineered projects ideally with experience in the food sector.
With an appetite for making a big difference alongside a small and ambitious team, you will ensure projects are consistently delivered to the highest standards, upholding the company’s reputation for excellence and leading-edge solutions.
Responsibilities
- Be the champion of best practice project management in the business and with key external stakeholders.
- Guide and shape effective project delivery plans in line with company objectives; proactively mitigating risks and sharing project progress.
- Spearhead a planning-led approach across the business; engaging and educating colleagues.
- Develop strong and effective working relationships with internal colleagues, customers and external supply partners.
- Actively lead dialogue and build relationships with decision makers and influencers within customers.
- Provide end-to-end project ownership with acute attention to detail and agile responsiveness to any issues.
- Proactively lead communications and reporting to the leadership team about project progress; including action orientated corrective actions where required.
- Act as a company ambassador, internally and externally, consistently demonstrating the culture and values.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a project manager amidst an engineering environment, ideally with a background in the food sector.
- Demonstrable and relevant project management professional qualifications.
- Diligent attention to detail and an appetite for continuous process improvement.
- Excellent communications and negotiations skills with key stakeholder audiences; internally and externally.
- Motivated self starter who is equally confident working independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to travel to meet with customers in the UK and overseas as required (up to 20% travel).
