The Practice Educator Midwife is responsible for ensuring high‑standard staff training across the Trust, engaging with clinical leaders to tailor learning activities to meet local and national guidance.

- Ensure that staff training enables safe, high‑quality care in all maternity settings (inpatient and outpatient) through formal teaching, simulation training and bespoke programs.
- Play a key role in developing and supporting maternity staff through education and training, enhancing existing workforce measures.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to develop training that meets their needs and complies with national and local guidance.
- Lead on the structure and coordination of learning activities across the division, ensuring the provision of high‑quality, multi‑professional learning environments.
- Develop and implement effective clinical workforce training and development strategies to build a flexible and sustainable maternity workforce.
- Work locally within services where inter‑professional learning opportunities can be promoted and provide expert knowledge to both trained and untrained staff by acting as a positive role model and setting high standards within the area of practice.
