We are working exclusively with our client to recruit a dynamic Engineering Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong background in logistics, warehouse operations, and supply chain optimisation.
Summary of the role
As Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing engineering and operational performance, ensuring processes run efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively. You’ll be responsible for leading teams, improving systems, and maintaining strong supplier relationships to support seamless operations.
Key responsibilities
Lead and develop engineering and operational teams to achieve performance targets
Drive continuous improvement across logistics, warehouse, and supply chain processes
Manage supplier relationships and negotiate effectively to deliver value
Oversee materials management to ensure efficiency and availability
Implement and optimise systems
Ensure compliance with health & safety and operational standards
Support strategic initiatives to improve productivity and reduce costs
About you
Proven experience in an Engineering Manager or similar leadership role
Strong background in logistics, warehouse, or supply chain operations
Skilled in vendor negotiation and supplier management
Experience using ERP systems (IFS preferred)
A confident, personable leader who motivates and develops teams
Results-driven with a proactive, hands‑on approach
Able to work both independently and collaboratively
Package & benefits
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 (depending on experience)
Working Hours: Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 4:45pm | Friday 08:00am – 3:;45pm (39hrs a week)
Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays
