Key Responsibilities

Strategic Project Leadership

  • Act as a definitive subject matter partner to the operational business, providing dedicated support to senior project teams.
  • Horizon-scan for upcoming project bottlenecks and interpret their impact, ensuring timelines are proactively managed and ahead of the curve.
  • Architect, implement, and continuously improve project documentation, ensuring risk assessments, schedules, and budgets are dynamically integrated into daily operations.

Culture & Engagement Leadership

  • Act as the architect and visible champion of Medik8’s project delivery culture.
  • Inspire and engage colleagues at all levels, transforming complex technical project requirements into a shared organisational value.
  • Partner with all department heads to embed project ownership deep within their teams.

Operational Performance & Improvement

  • Lead a "find-it, fix-it" proactive approach to project hurdles through a highly visible site presence.
  • Drive high-quality, root-cause investigations when project milestones deviate, focusing on systemic improvements.
  • Translate raw project data into actionable business intelligence for the Senior Operational Leadership Team and operational heads.
  • Own project reporting, focusing on leading indicators and proactive measures rather than just delayed deliverables.

Skills & Qualifications

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrable, hands‑on experience working within a practical project environment.
  • Formal project management qualifications are not essential; we prioritise your technical foundation and hands‑on capability.

Technical Expertise

  • Applied understanding of engineering principles, with a proven ability to interpret and apply them pragmatically in a complex operational setting.
  • Strong analytical skills with a data‑driven approach.
  • Capability to conduct high‑quality project analysis and translate technical data into actionable business intelligence for management teams.

Leadership & Cultural Fit

  • A natural coach, mentor, and partner with outstanding communication skills.
