Our client, a Greater Manchester council is seeking a Children's Social Worker to join their Families First Team.

Responsibilities of this role:

  • Undertake strengths-based assessments and direct work with children and families to support early help and prevent escalation.
  • Manage a caseload of Children in Need and Child Protection cases, delivering timely and effective interventions.
  • Build strong working relationships with families to promote safeguarding, resilience, and positive outcomes for children.
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies to deliver coordinated, multi-agency support plans.
  • Maintain high-quality, timely recording and ensure practice complies with statutory guidance and local procedures.
  • Contribute to reviews, meetings, and planning processes, ensuring the child’s voice remains central.

Requirements of this role:

  • Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England
  • Must have minimum of 3 years post qualifying social work experience
