About MNB Precision

MNB Precision is a Coventry based precision engineering business with over 40 years of experience, supplying high-integrity components into demanding sectors including Oil & Gas, Defence, Power Generation, Rail and Heavy Industry.

We specialise in complex, tight-tolerance work, machining a wide range of materials from carbon steels through to stainless and exotic alloys. Our continued growth is driven by investment in people, machines and facilities — and we're now looking to strengthen our machining team.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Inspector to join our quality team in a precision manufacturing environment. This role will be primarily based within the inspection department but will involve regular shopfloor presence, supporting quality standards across production.

The successful candidate will play a key role in roaming inspection, investigating nonconformities, and supporting continuous improvement activities, while helping to drive a culture of self-inspection and quality ownership on the shopfloor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out roaming inspection activities across the shopfloor to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Investigate internal nonconformities and customer reject notes (CRNs)
  • Conduct CRN enquiries and root cause investigations
  • Monitor adherence to the Quality Management System (QMS) and established quality procedures
  • Investigate goods received issues and supplier nonconformities
  • Promote and support self‑inspection practices on the shopfloor
  • Support the Quality Manager with Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives
  • Provide training and guidance on internal reject notes
  • Provide cover for ERP NCR log activities during holidays and sickness
  • Work closely with production teams to identify quality issues and implement corrective actions

Essential Requirements

  • Experience with CMM inspection and manual inspection techniques
  • Proven experience investigating nonconformities
  • Knowledge of CRN investigations and resolution processes
  • Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and quality standards
  • Ability to drive quality improvements and implement best practices on the shopfloor
  • Proactive attitude with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Experience within precision manufacturing or engineering environments

Desirable Skills

  • Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ability to communicate quality standards effectively to production teams
  • Experience working with ERP systems for NCR logging

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to work in a high‑precision manufacturing environment
  • Involvement in quality improvement and operational excellence initiatives
  • A collaborative team environment focused on continuous improvement and quality standards

If you are a motivated quality professional with experience in precision engineering and quality investigations, we would welcome your application for the Quality Assurance Inspector role.
