Recruitment Officer

Position: Recruitment Officer – Unplanned Care Division. Principally based at Mount Vernon Hospital (two days per week onsite, remainder remote). From 1 July 2026 location transfers to St Mark's Hospital at Northwick Park, with increase to three days onsite.

Main duties of the job

To support the Trust's recruitment strategy by managing the full recruitment lifecycle from pre‑enquiry and application through to onboarding, providing a professional recruitment service for the appointment of staff.

This is a full end‑to‑end service including:

  • Managing and advising the division’s recruitment needs
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Payroll ESR entry of new starters and internal changes
  • Interviewing when required
  • Additional projects when required

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct full recruitment cycle from candidate sourcing to placement.
  • Provide recruitment advice to hiring managers.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment records and payroll entries.
  • Participate in selection panels and conduct interviews.
  • Undertake additional recruitment projects as requested.

Person Specification

Knowledge and Skills

  • Relevant work experience in recruitment.
  • Experience managing and advising divisional hiring managers.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and recruitment databases.
  • Ability to track vacancies to targeted time‑to‑hire targets.
  • Payroll ESR entry experience.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Capacity to manage large workloads and tight deadlines.
  • Preparing or working towards a CIPD qualification.
  • Experience in a medical or HR department.
  • Shortlisting and interviewing competence.
  • International recruitment experience.

Disclosure and Barring Service Check

Application will require a Disclosure and Barring Service check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.

Job Details

Salary: £33,262 – £36,027 per annum (inc. HCAA). Permanent, full‑time position.
