Band 6 – Crisis Team Clinical Specialist
We have exciting opportunities available in our Camden Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Teams in the vibrant and diverse inner London borough of Camden. Our Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team and integrated Crisis Single Point of Access provides a vital service to those experiencing mental ill health, delivering intensive support to adults experiencing a mental health crisis within their own communities as an alternative to hospital admission. We operate 24 hours a day, 365 days per year.
Responsibilities
- Provide intensive, evidence‑based, culturally competent care to service users with acute mental health problems in their homes and community settings.
- Contribute to the effective management of service users across a shared caseload, formulating specific, highly specialist care and treatment plans.
- Take a lead role in organising the shift for the team and provide clinical supervision and support to junior staff.
- Contribute to governance and audit within the team, ensuring that team members are supported and developed to their potential and that new team members are comprehensively inducted and successfully integrated.
- Work across the different aspects of the CRHTT service: Crisis Hub (24/7 telephone support and triage), Assessments (holistic assessment and collaborative treatment planning), and Home Treatment Team (person‑centred care using CBT/DBT, de‑escalation, risk management, and brief supportive counselling).
Qualifications
- Professional registration as a nurse, social worker, occupational therapist or similar, with experience working in an acute or community mental health setting.
- Newly qualified professionals ready to start a career as a crisis team clinical practitioner are also welcome to apply.
- Strong leadership and dynamic risk assessment & clinical management skills.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
