We’re looking for an experienced HRIS Specialist to join our team in Birmingham. This is a office‑based role, ideal for someone with strong hands‑on experience configuring HR and/or Payroll systems, and practical knowledge across HR processes, payroll and people data.

What you’ll be doing
- Supporting and enhancing our HR and Payroll system (Workday)
- Configuring system changes across HCM, Time Tracking, Absence and/or Payroll (at least one required)
- Managing integrations between Workday and downstream systems
- Acting as a subject matter expert for HR systems, data and best practice
- Supporting system releases, upgrades, testing (UAT) and implementations
- Managing incidents, BAU system support and continuous improvements
- Partnering closely with HR, IT and regional stakeholders
- Supporting payroll configuration changes, pay awards and mass data updates
- Ensuring data governance, security access and GDPR compliance
What we’re looking for
- Hands‑on experience with HR and/or Payroll systems
- Strong experience configuring HRIS modules (HCM, Time, Absence or Payroll)
- Understanding of HR and payroll data and payroll processing
- Experience with integrations, testing (UAT) and system change delivery
- Confident using reporting tools and Excel
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, problem‑solving mindset
- Experience with Workday, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft or Zellis
Nice to have
- Experience in a shared services or complex, multi‑site environment
- Exposure to automation or complex terms and conditions
