Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and commercially astute Commercial Manager to support the management of a major UK client engagement. This role will play a key part in ensuring strong financial control, accurate billing, and effective contract management, working closely with internal teams and vendors.
You will be part of a wider commercial function, collaborating with Finance, Account, and Delivery teams to ensure smooth day-to-day commercial operations.
Key Responsibilities
Contract & Commercial Management
- Support the management of client contracts, ensuring compliance with agreed terms
- Review and manage contractual documentation and commercial frameworks
- Assist in resolving any commercial queries or discrepancies
Financial Control & Billing
- Manage quarterly purchase orders (POs) and track associated spend
- Oversee invoicing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Reconcile billed vs. unbilled items and investigate discrepancies
- Support cash collection activities and work to improve cash flow
- Work closely with vendor managers to ensure alignment on costs and services
- Liaise with Finance, Account, and Delivery teams to maintain accurate financial reporting
- Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
Reporting & Analysis
- Provide regular reporting on commercial performance, billing status, and financial metrics
- Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities for improvement within commercial processes
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in a commercial, finance, or contract management role
- Strong understanding of invoicing, purchase orders, and financial reconciliation
- Experience supporting cash collection and working capital management
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across different functions
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
