Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and commercially astute Commercial Manager to support the management of a major UK client engagement. This role will play a key part in ensuring strong financial control, accurate billing, and effective contract management, working closely with internal teams and vendors.

You will be part of a wider commercial function, collaborating with Finance, Account, and Delivery teams to ensure smooth day-to-day commercial operations.

Key Responsibilities

Contract & Commercial Management

  • Support the management of client contracts, ensuring compliance with agreed terms
  • Review and manage contractual documentation and commercial frameworks
  • Assist in resolving any commercial queries or discrepancies

Financial Control & Billing

  • Manage quarterly purchase orders (POs) and track associated spend
  • Oversee invoicing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Reconcile billed vs. unbilled items and investigate discrepancies
  • Support cash collection activities and work to improve cash flow
  • Work closely with vendor managers to ensure alignment on costs and services
  • Liaise with Finance, Account, and Delivery teams to maintain accurate financial reporting
  • Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships

Reporting & Analysis

  • Provide regular reporting on commercial performance, billing status, and financial metrics
  • Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities for improvement within commercial processes

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience in a commercial, finance, or contract management role
  • Strong understanding of invoicing, purchase orders, and financial reconciliation
  • Experience supporting cash collection and working capital management
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across different functions
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
