Senior Architect
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £38-44,000
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Architect to join a well-established, RIBA‑chartered architectural practice based in Birmingham. The studio is part of a dedicated team of enthusiastic individuals who are known for beautifully crafted, people‑driven design. The practice works across a diverse portfolio including hospitality, healthcare, education and residential schemes, with a strong reputation for high‑quality delivery and long‑standing client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Leading the design and delivery of projects from concept through to completion
- Producing detailed architectural drawings using CAD, BIM and hand sketching techniques
- Managing project teams and coordinating multidisciplinary consultants to meet deadlines
- Acting as Project Lead, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to a high standard
- Liaising with clients, contractors and statutory bodies including Planning and Building Control
- Preparing and presenting design proposals, reports and key stage submissions
- Undertaking site visits and representing the practice at meetings and client engagements
Requirements
- ARB registered Architect with substantial post‑qualification experience
- Proven ability to lead projects through all RIBA stages
- Strong design, technical and detailing skills with high creative capability
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD within a BIM environment
- Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and project delivery processes
- Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and complex projects
