HR, Recruitment and Administration Assistant
Milford Del Support Services – Sandown, Isle of Wight £27,000 per annum | Full-time | 40 hours per week

We looking for a proactive HR, Recruitment and Administration Assistant to join our friendly Head Office team in Sandown.
This is a varied and rewarding position combining HR and recruitment support with wider office administration. One day you may be guiding a new employee through their pre-employment checks, while the next you could be preparing HR documents, organising essential supplies or coordinating our Friendship Club.
You will play an important role in creating a positive experience for applicants and employees while keeping our people processes accurate, efficient and well organised.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting recruitment from application through to appointment
- Communicating with applicants throughout the recruitment process
- Completing references, DBS, right-to-work and other pre-employment checks
- Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records
- Preparing letters, meeting invitations and other HR documents
- Taking clear and accurate notes during employee meetings
- Monitoring probation periods, training requirements and outstanding documentation
- Responding to routine HR and recruitment queries
- Providing administrative support with absence management and employee relations matters
- Ordering, monitoring and organising PPE
- Ordering stationery and other essential office supplies
- Coordinating and running our Friendship Club
- Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of Head Office
- Liaising professionally with employees, managers, applicants and external contacts
About you
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience in HR, recruitment or a busy administrative role
- Is highly organised and able to manage changing priorities
- Has excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Is confident using Microsoft Office and learning new systems
- Produces accurate work and pays close attention to detail
- Can handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
- Has a friendly, professional and supportive approach
- Uses initiative and takes ownership of their responsibilities
- Can work independently while contributing positively to the wider team
- Enjoys improving systems and finding better ways of working
Experience within health and social care would be beneficial but is not essential. A CIPD qualification, or an interest in working towards one, would be an advantage.
