We're working with a values-led Housing Association based in London to recruit a Head of Finance and Resources on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is an exciting senior management opportunity to play a central role in ensuring the organisation remains financially strong, well governed and equipped for the future. As Head of Finance & Resources, you will lead the Finance, ICT and Facilities & Safety functions – ensuring each operates efficiently, collaboratively and in alignment with the organisation’s mission to provide safe homes, excellent customer service and value for money for residents.
As a key member of the Senior Management Team, you will work closely with the Director of Finance & Resources, deputising when required, and contributing to organisation-wide strategy, planning and performance. You will champion operational excellence, digital transformation, value for money and strong internal controls, ensuring services are fit for purpose, future-focused and delivered to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, management accounts and audit coordination
- Lead the preparation of annual budgets and financial statements, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
- Support long-term business planning through financial projections, 30-year financial modelling and cashflow forecasting
- Ensure consistent application of financial regulations, rent standards and value for money principles
- Oversee delivery of ICT services and infrastructure aligned to evolving business needs
- Manage ICT service levels, supplier relationships, digital transformation initiatives and disaster recovery planning
- Oversee management and development of office facilities, ensuring they remain safe, compliant and fit for purpose
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements and support sustainability initiatives
- Promote organisational values through leadership behaviours and stakeholder engagement
About You
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- A recognised CCAB qualification (ACA/FCA, ACCA/FCCA, CIMA or CIPFA)
- Proven leadership of high-performing, cross-functional teams within customer-focused environments
- Experience supporting organisational change and improving systems and processes
- Experience overseeing ICT services or managing external ICT suppliers
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly
- Excellent influencing, negotiation and relationship-building abilities
- A leadership style that combines strategic thinking with operational delivery
- Housing sector experience would be advantageous
