Fortrea is looking for an Associate HR Business Partner to join our Leeds-based team.
The Associate HR Business Partner is an amazing opportunity to step into the clinical industry in a strategic role where you will be at the heart of the operational excellence of Fortrea, a global Contract Research Organization delivering groundbreaking solutions to advance therapies and drugs.
As an Associate HR Business Partner, you will play a crucial role in delivering a comprehensive Human Resources service for all UK employees. You will work closely with the Leeds clinic and provide advice and operational support for employees, line managers and the Senior Leadership Team, ensuring consistency and compliance in HR practices.
Your responsibilities:
- Employee Relations & Performance Management: Provide guidance on disciplinary, grievance and performance issues and support managers in the resolution of workplace conflicts.
- HR Operations and Analytics: Maintain accurate employee records, be proficient in HR technologies and data systems, and analyse HR metrics such as absence, turnover and performance.
- Policy & Compliance: Advise managers and staff on HR Policies, employment law and best practices, ensuring legal compliance and minimising organisational risk. Support the implementation of HR strategies and programmes on a regional and global basis with guidance.
- Training & Development: Support employee and manager training initiatives and contribute to the development and delivery of tailored training programmes, promote and enhance employee engagement through communication and feedback channels.
- Absence Management: Monitor and manage sickness absence, support wellbeing initiatives and proactive interventions.
Your experience and qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience within a fast‑paced professional environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and relevant formal professional qualification (CIPD level 5). Fortrea may consider relevant and equivalent experience in lieu of educational requirements.
- Working knowledge of employment regulations, policies, procedures, and legislation.
- Good understanding and technical abilities within all areas of HR.
- Ability to develop strong working relationships.
- Ability to assert opinions and ideas with confidence.
- Ability to think innovatively and rationally about decisions and produce creative solutions.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Excellent people skills.
