Learning Assistant (Universal) NLC4
Location: St Thomas' PS, Enhanced Provision Class, North Lanarkshire Council.
Contract: Temporary until 25 June 2027. 2 positions: 27.5 hours/week & 15 hours/week. Work pattern Monday‑Friday 5.5 hrs/day or 3 hrs/day.
Responsibilities
- Support children in the school environment.
- Assist with personal hygiene and maintain hygiene stock.
- Receive children, provide departure and escort duties.
- Prepare classroom materials, set up teaching aids, record programmes and reprographic work.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Recent experience working with children, voluntary or school‑based.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to undertake NHS or Education training.
- Experience with children/young people with additional needs desirable.
- Must become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) member before commencement.
