M&E Site Manager → Building Services Manager | City of London | £80k + Travel + Package

I’m working with a leading main contractor who has just secured a major cut & carve commercial redevelopment in the City, with works starting now and completion targeted for August 2027.

This is a standout opportunity for an M&E Site Manager who wants to step up into a Building Services Manager role.

The project will transform an existing 1990s building into 120,000 sq ft of high-spec, all-electric workspace, including:

  • Structural extensions (6th & 7th floors) with a new rooftop pavilion
  • Multiple landscaped terraces
  • New ground floor café & enhanced reception
  • Strong sustainability focus with an all-electric strategy

They’re looking for someone to take ownership of M&E delivery on site, with a clear pathway to move into a BSM position as the job progresses.

The Role:

  • Manage and drive all M&E packages on site
  • Coordinate subcontractors across mechanical & electrical trades
  • Work closely with the Project Manager and technical teams
  • Lead commissioning and handover
  • Gradually step into a broader Building Services Manager remit

What they’re looking for:

  • Experience as an M&E Site Manager on commercial projects
  • Exposure to cut & carve / refurbishment schemes
  • Strong technical understanding across M&E services
  • Ambition to progress into a BSM role
  • Ability to manage subcontractors and keep programme moving

What’s on offer:

  • Up to £80k salary
  • Travel covered + package
  • Long-term project through to 2027
  • Work on a complex, high-profile City scheme

If you’re an M&E Site Manager feeling ready for that next step but not being given the opportunity — this is exactly that.
