Do you have experience of providing business analysis expertise, on a portfolio optimisation project involving investment processes, asset modelling and finance reporting?

This consulting opportunity is to support our client, a leading organisation, in documenting end to end portfolio optimisation processes and defining requirements to enhance asset modelling and optimisation tools. The focus is on improving asset performance against defined KPIs and refining portfolio composition.

The project needs a consultant who has:

  • strong understanding of front to back investment processes across trading, operations, finance reporting and cash management
  • understanding of investment concepts including performance and risk
  • experience with how assets are modelled for performance and risk assessment
  • credibility working with actuaries, investment managers, risk, audit and finance stakeholders

Key Services

The key services that you will be asked to provide are:

  • document end to end portfolio optimisation processes across front, middle, back office and finance
  • capture and define requirements for enhancements to existing asset modelling and optimisation tools
  • define requirements for development of new optimisation tooling
  • engage stakeholders across investment, actuarial, risk, audit and finance functions to gather requirements
  • identify and suggest process and tooling improvements aligned to asset performance objectives

Mandatory Requirements

Successful consultants will be able to demonstrate:

  • strong knowledge of investment terminology including SCR, DTSMW, PV01 and IE01
  • understanding of investment performance and risk concepts
  • experience working on asset modelling or portfolio optimisation tools
  • understanding of how investment activity impacts finance reporting both internal and external
  • ability to elicit requirements from diverse and time constrained stakeholders

Optional Requirements

It will also be advantageous if you have:

  • experience across both investment and finance functions
  • prior exposure to portfolio optimisation initiatives
  • relevant investment qualification

Working Pattern

Hybrid remote with occasional London office presence
