Responsibilities

  • Design, analysis, and implementation of advanced electrical systems and components for applications.
  • Take technical ownership of electrical designs, ensuring compliance with performance, safety, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) standards, including MIL-STD, DEF STAN, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct and oversee testing, validation, and qualification of electrical systems.
  • Produce and approve detailed technical documentation, including schematics, design reports, test plans, and certification evidence.

Requirements

  • Experience in the design and manufacture of complex electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of MIL-STD, DEF STAN, and other relevant standards.
  • Proficient in using an electrical CAD tool, such as Zuken E3.Series, SolidWorks Electrical, EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, CATIA Electrical, Siemens NX Electrical, RapidHarness or similar (preferably Zuken E3).
  • Hybrid working (2 days per week in Barnstable)
  • 37 hour weeks and half day Fridays
  • 25 days’ annual leave, plus buy and sell & up to 16 days flexi leave accrual
