Role Overview

We are seeking a Consultant Clinical Haematologist to provide locum cover at York Hospital, with mandatory attendance in Scarborough on Thursdays. The role includes inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, laboratory work, MDT participation, and on-call duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Outpatient clinics
• Ward / acute cover
• Laboratory work
• MDT attendance
• On-call cover:
  • Weekdays: ~1:5 frequency (24-hour shifts)
  • Weekends: ~1:7 frequency (48-hour shifts)
• All other duties associated with a Consultant Clinical Haematologist post

Essential Requirements

• Listed on the Specialist Register – Haematology

Additional Information

• Based primarily at York Hospital
• Thursday attendance in Scarborough is mandatory
• Contract length: 3 months
• Start date TBC
