Your role
We are seeking an AVEVA E3D CAD Support Engineer to provide local IMS/CAD support for engineering teams using AVEVA E3D & DRAW, PDMS & DRAFT, Diagrams and Engineering tools. The role focuses on supporting day‑to‑day CAD activities, managing files, scripts and configurations, and ensuring CAD resources are effective, stable and aligned with engineering needs across EDF EPR Engineering UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main user support for AVEVA Engineering tools, including issue resolution, user requests, training and catalogue support.
- Coordinate CAD activities and resolve technical issues across multiple CAD tools for engineering teams.
- Define, propose and track action plans and CAD roadmaps.
- Work closely with UK engineering teams, CAD teams in France (Edvance & EDF DSPTN) and local IT support.
- Develop macros and tools to deliver efficient, responsive engineering solutions.
- Deliver end‑user training where required and report to the IMS‑IT Lead for Engineering UK.
Your profile
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of AVEVA or similar CAD software, alongside solid coding skills to support automation, scripting and data processing activities. You will be degree‑educated (or equivalent) and comfortable working within Windows and IT‑driven environments to support engineering teams effectively.
Key Requirements
- Experience with AVEVA or other CAD tools, with strong scripting and automation skills (e.g. PowerShell, Python, PML).
- Good knowledge of Windows, IT technologies, scripting languages and basic web technologies.
