Estimator – Remote Working

Estimator (Carpentry & Joinery) Location: Woking Office Based Salary: £65,000 £75,000 (DOE) Job Type: Permanent The Opportunity Established carpentry & joinery contractor in Woking is looking for a commercially capable Estimator who can take real ownership of the pre-construction function with involvement in the wider commercial process. You will be heavily involved in pricing, commercial input, and supporting project delivery through to final account where required. The Role Pricing carpentry & joinery packages (residential & commercial) Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documents Producing detailed take-offs and cost breakdowns Subcontractor & supplier enquiries Value engineering input Supporting valuations and variations where required Working closely with Directors on commercial strategy This is ideal for someone currently working as: Estimator within a carpentry or joinery contractor Estimator within a fit-out subcontractor managing carpentry packages QS / Estimator looking for a more commercially rounded role What Theyre Looking For Strong estimating experience within carpentry, joinery or fit-out Good understanding of labour outputs and package pricing Comfortable handling commercial discussions Able to support basic QS functions (variations, cost tracking, valuations) Organised, commercially aware and self-sufficient You must understand how a subcontractor business makes money– Why This Role Stands Out Office-based, stable environment Direct access to Directors Real influence over margins and pricing strategy Opportunity to grow into full commercial lead £65k£75k depending on capability This is not a corporate role….
