We’re now looking for a Crop Analyst to deepen our understanding of grains and oilseed–protein crops across Europe and the Black Sea region. If you’re energised by data, agronomy and global market dynamics, this role puts you at the centre of it all.
What You’ll Do
- Forecast the fundamentals. Analyse short‑ and long‑term production outlooks for grains and oilseeds across key European and Black Sea markets.
- Gather intelligence from every angle. Combine field contacts, weather data, satellite imagery, official statistics, trade press and more to assess crop potential.
- Turn data into insight. Build forecasts for sown area and yields, using both qualitative inputs and quantitative modelling.
- Develop smarter tools. Create and refine modelling frameworks to improve production forecasting accuracy.
- Stay ahead of policy and economics. Track agricultural policies, trade measures and macro‑economic factors shaping regional markets.
- Communicate with clarity. Deliver regular updates to internal teams and external stakeholders, presenting clear, data‑driven regional outlooks.
- Contribute globally. Support the wider grains and oilseeds team in shaping Expana’s global commodity outlook.
What You Bring
- A degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agricultural Economics, or a related field.
- 2–5 years’ experience in crop analysis, modelling, or agricultural research (a plus, not a requirement).
- Strong interest in agronomy, weather patterns, statistics and modelling.
- Curiosity about commodities and financial markets.
- Confidence working with large datasets and extracting meaningful insights.
- A proactive, analytical mindset — you enjoy solving problems and building structure.
- Experience in fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environments.
- Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage.
You’ll be part of a global team shaping the future of commodity intelligence. We’re collaborative, ambitious and growing fast — with the agility of a scale‑up and the impact of a global data provider. Your work will directly influence how major companies navigate supply, demand and risk across the agri‑food supply chain.
In return for your hard work and dedication, we offer fantastic rewards. Please note that we operate with an agile working model, allowing for remote work and occasional travel to our offices.
It is important to mention that we cannot sponsor or provide any work visas to any candidate in our locations and we will be conducting Right to Work checks during our hiring practices to ensure compliance with employment laws.
