Please note this is based at our warehouse in Bicester. What youll be doing: Support the SC team to consistently achieve operational excellence standards by ensuring the site is fully compliant with both internal and external compliance requirements, including SOPs, Quality Assurance, and Health & Safety. Design and implement audit processes to ensure full compliance across the site. Prepare, coordinate, and execute site audits on an agreed schedule. Provide clear oral and written reporting of issues identified during audits and ensure corrective action plans are implemented and tracked to completion. Drive the implementation of control improvements required to achieve and maintain compliance standards. Review, monitor, and report the results of quarterly self-certification checklists against audit findings. Act as the site subject matter expert on standard operating procedures and operational control standards. Promote good corporate governance and strong internal control practices across the site. Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external auditors regarding operational compliance and procedures. Work with SC management team to simplify business processes, reduce cost, and improve operational performance. Ensure all colleagues are fully trained in compliance procedures and that accurate, up-to-date training records are maintained. Drive the ongoing training and development of all colleagues. Communicate clearly and positively to ensure colleagues understand their role in delivering business and branch objectives. Ensure the site remains fully legally compliant with food safety regulations. Manage, coordinate, and implement the Health, Safety and Welfare management system, ensuring compliance with all current Health & Safety legislation. Facility Management:- Oversee the day-to-day management and maintenance of site facilities, ensuring buildings, equipment, and infrastructure are safe, compliant, and operational. Ensure compliance with all statutory facility requirements, including fire safety, building safety, maintenance schedules, and contractor compliance. Manage and coordinate planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities across the site. Act as the site lead for facility inspections and statutory checks, ensuring records are maintained and actions completed. Coordinate with external contractors and service providers to ensure maintenance and repair work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with site standards. Support the management of utilities, waste management, and environmental controls to ensure operational efficiency and regulatory compliance. Maintain oversight of site infrastructure including racking, refrigeration, lighting, dock equipment, and safety systems. Ensure facility-related risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated, supporting a safe working environment for all colleagues. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to facility efficiency, sustainability, and operational performance. Projects & Continuous Improvement Support the planning and implementation of site projects and operational improvements. Support with the rollout of IT systems, technology changes, and process improvements across the site. Work cross-functionally with operations and central teams to ensure projects are delivered effectively and embedded into daily operations. What were looking for: Skills and Experience Audit/compliance experience in a wholesale or retail environment. Logical, thorough, and tenacious approach to work with excellent attention to detail. Strong organisation and multitasking skills. Proven ability to influence colleagues at all levels of the organisation. Ability to analyse, interpret, and report on data in a clear and timely manner. Passion for driving operational standards and achieving targets. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong reportwriting ability.
