Our Central Services Capital Projects team delivers a diverse range of schemes that keep water and wastewater services running safely and reliably across the Anglian Water region. We’re looking for a committed Project Engineer to help develop, plan and deliver our capital programme, ensuring our sites, assets and customers benefit from high-quality engineering solutions.

This is a great opportunity to make a difference in a role where no two days are the same, working with operational teams, contractors and colleagues to bring projects to life.

What will you be doing?

  • Responsible for enabling activities to facilitate the delivery of planned/emergent capital projects
  • Develop solutions in line with corporate governance and delivery route goals
  • Ensure solutions are Water and/or Wastewater quality compliant
  • Completion of Root Cause Analysis
  • Complete optioneering of solutions
  • Comply with the corporate Risk and Value process
  • Ensure standard products and other technical standards (e.g., minimum asset standards) are adhered to
  • Complete and comply with all operational site H&S requirements to ensure safe working practices
  • Production and support completion of CDM Documentation

What does it take to be a Project Engineer?

  • Appropriate engineering qualification or membership of professional body or equivalent experience
  • Proven technical experience within the relevant environment (Water or Wastewater)
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety (H&S), and Construction Design & Management (CDM) regulations
  • Experience managing a capital budget
  • Experience of project planning, delivery and site supervision
  • Root cause analysis to optionee suitable solutions
  • Good IT literacy plus it would be desirable to have experience of M2i, SAP and Power Bi
