Overview

Equans Data Centers are seeking to appoint a Senior Project Manager – Electrical to support our growing Data Centre business. The Senior Project Manager – Electrical will be responsible for managing a team and the electrical aspects of large projects from inception to completion, within set timescales, to high quality standards and within health and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team to ensure work is carried out in full conformance with quality, environmental and safety standards.
  • Be an expert and provide guidance and direction to ensure operational excellence.
  • Coordinate and control the on-site construction process ensuring the site build progresses in line with plan.
  • Develop and agree electrical submission and approval process with the client and design team.
  • Support the overall programming and planning of the build.
  • Attend site meetings, effectively communicate and provide information for progress reports.
  • Chair and minute subcontractor meetings.
  • Recording and reporting key metrics to team members and management.
  • Operational support including review of procedures, best practices and initiatives.

  • Experience working with a main contractor or large subcontractor
  • Proven people management experience of managing teams
  • Ability to mentor and develop team members
  • Proven technical knowledge of Electrical Services
  • Knowledge and skills to effectively problem solve
  • Self-motivated with proven organisational ability and the drive to meet deadlines
  • Customer focused with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
  • Attention to Health and Safety matters
  • Commercially astute
  • Experience in the data centres sector is desirable
  • Degree or equivalent in an Electrical discipline is desirable
