Project Co-ordinator / Compliance Administrator (Maternity Cover)

Location: Washington

Salary: £28,000 – £40,000 per annum

Contract Type: Temporary / Fixed Term Contract

Hours: Full-time – 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:30)

Start: ASAP – Contract until October 2027

About the Role

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a client for a highly organised and proactive Project Co-ordinator / Compliance Administrator to join a busy, fast-paced construction environment on a long-term maternity cover contract. This is an excellent opportunity to support project delivery, compliance, and day-to-day operational activities across multiple workstreams, ensuring high standards are maintained across all areas of the business. There is potential for a permanent opportunity for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and attending project meetings
  • Supporting construction project administration and delivery
  • Managing compliance systems (CHAS, SafeContractor, Constructionline, ISO)
  • Maintaining health & safety documentation and processes
  • Raising, tracking, and managing purchase orders
  • Preparing and submitting PPQs and supporting tender documentation
  • Managing PPE orders and stock control
  • Maintaining training records and arranging staff training
  • Supporting DBS checks and compliance documentation
  • Managing supplier relationships and agreements
  • Assisting with framework and accreditation requirements
  • Supporting quality assurance and social value elements in bids
  • Booking travel and providing general administrative support duties

About You

  • Previous experience within the construction industry is essential
  • Strong administrative and coordination skills
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Confident working with compliance and documentation processes
  • Proactive, reliable, and able to hit the ground running
