At Bath & North East Somerset Council we have one overriding purpose to improve people’s lives.
Our Recycling Department is responsible for the removal of household recycling and waste, industrial and commercial waste, organic waste, and dry recyclable waste from a variety of locations (for example houses, shops and schools) within the Bath & North East Somerset Council area.
Our recycling department is made up of several operational roles and we are keen to encourage training and development.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for supervising allocated staff and for driving and overseeing the safe use of vehicles, plant and machinery, including recycling vehicles of different sizes. You will also direct the work of trainees, agency staff and other employees assigned to you.
OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU
We know that whatever your situation, your work is a lot more than just a job description and a salary. And of course, your life is a lot more than your work! As an employer, we aim to create an inclusive working environment where everyone can achieve a healthy work/life balance. We are serious about our responsibility for your personal and professional development and try to ensure you are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and experience to succeed in your current role and to progress in your career. Our benefits package is designed to boost and maintain the health, well‑being, and general quality of life of all our staff.
Keynsham is a perfect base if you don’t want to drive into a city centre and entering a role with the Council is your first step to a real career.
