Due to growth and new commercial opportunities within our Strategic Partnership Network, we are now looking for an experienced Credit Hire Lawyer to join our team.
The Role
This is a full‑time (4‑day working week) hybrid role based out of Wilmslow, with flexibility for remote working. You will manage a varied caseload of credit hire, motor and fraud matters while working closely with colleagues and insurer clients to deliver strategic, commercially driven outcomes. The role offers the opportunity to work within a modern, collaborative legal business that values innovation, proactive problem solving, and early engagement strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing litigated and pre‑litigated credit hire, motor and fraud claims from inception to resolution
- Investigating and defending potentially fraudulent claims
- Delivering strategic legal advice to insurer and MGA clients
- Collaborating with partners and claims teams to mitigate litigation risk
- Championing early intervention and collaborative claims handling strategies
- Conducting legal research and preparing case strategies
- Negotiating settlements and representing client interests effectively
- Supporting wider business initiatives focused on innovation and claims optimisation
About You
We are looking for a confident, personable and commercially minded lawyer with strong technical expertise and a proactive approach.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience handling defendant credit hire litigation
- Strong understanding of fraud indicators and litigation strategy
- Experience within the insurance claims sector
- Excellent legal research, analytical, and drafting skills
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team culture
- Knowledge of insurance operations and relevant regulatory frameworks
- Qualified solicitor, legal executive, or equivalent relevant legal qualification

- Experience working with insurer or MGA clients
- Interest in legal innovation and technology‑led solutions
