Project Officer – Community, Health and Wellbeing

Salary: £33,055 – £35,090 (FTE)
Hours: 22 hours per week (flexible and part-time working is available in this role)

Location: Civic Centre, Esher with some travel within the borough as part of day-to-day work

Elmbridge Borough Council is transforming how we support residents through our Connected Communities approach.

We’re looking for a Project Officer to help deliver projects that improve health, wellbeing and community resilience across the borough. This is a varied role where you’ll work closely with colleagues and partners, with the opportunity to contribute to projects that make a real difference to local communities.

In this role, you will:

  • work across the council and with partners to ensure workstreams are on track and achieving their objectives
  • undertake research and evaluation of internal work and external examples of good practice
  • develop data-led reports and action plans to drive improvement across systems and the local area
  • prepare updates for our key stakeholders, elected members and colleagues
  • provide administrative support to managers and the wider functions of Community, Health and Wellbeing

About you

We’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive and able to work with a wide range of people. You will have:

  • fluency in spoken and written English, with proficiency in MS Office applications
  • experience in influencing and supporting positive change at individual, community and organisational levels
  • project administration experience and the ability to carry out research and analysis
  • experience of office systems, including organising resources and maintaining administrative processes
  • excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
  • understanding of data protection
  • strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines
