We are looking for an experienced Telecoms Field Engineer to join a leading telecommunications project supporting Scotland’s critical utility infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity to work on strategic telecom networks, delivering installation, commissioning, maintenance, and support services across high-profile customer environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and maintain telecoms and IP networking equipment.
- Deliver field engineering services across utility telecommunications infrastructure.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Provide 24×7 on-call support as required.
- Conduct site surveys, testing, troubleshooting, and fault resolution.
- Complete project documentation, risk assessments, and handover reports.
- Work closely with project engineers to ensure successful project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, quality standards, and customer SLAs.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with telecoms field engineering and network installations.
- Hands-on knowledge of:
- LAN, WAN & MPLS networking
- DC Chargers and Power Systems
- IP Telephony
- Experience in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting telecom infrastructure.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK Driving Licence (Mandatory).
