Senior Associate / Partner – Private Client

An award‑winning national law firm is continuing its strategic growth in Manchester and is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor (Senior Associate or Partner level) to play a central role in the development of its Private Client offering.
This is a rare opportunity for a senior lawyer to combine high‑quality work, client exposure, and meaningful influence over the direction of a growing team.
The role
You will join a well‑established and highly regarded Private Client team advising a high‑net‑worth and ultra‑high‑net‑worth client base, including individuals, families, trustees and business owners.
The practice handles complex, technically demanding work, including:
- Estate and succession planning
- Inheritance tax and capital gains tax mitigation
- Trust creation, restructuring and administration
- Wealth preservation and family governance
- Philanthropy and charitable structures
- Cross‑border and international estate planning
- Contentious probate work (optional)
Broader responsibilities
In addition to managing your own high‑quality caseload, you will:
- Support and mentor junior members of the team
- Develop and strengthen key client relationships
- Contribute to business development and profile‑raising
- Play an active role in the strategic growth of the Manchester Private Client practice
Candidate profile
- 5+ years’ PQE in Private Client law
- Strong technical capability across wills, trusts, IHT and CGT
- Experience advising HNW and UHNW clients
- STEP qualification (or progression towards) preferred
- Commercially minded, collaborative and keen to contribute beyond fee‑earning
