Technical Support Specialist – Lab Equipment


Hands-on technical support role supporting laboratory instruments, software and consumables, with regular customer travel across the UK, Europe and the US.

About the role

  • Provide technical support to new and existing customers across the full product range
  • Diagnose, repair and service laboratory equipment on customer sites and in-house
  • Regular travel to customer locations
  • Support customers via email and phone when required
  • Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate orders
  • Work with manufacturing and product teams on faults, improvements and new products
  • Test products and perform quality/functional checks prior to sale
  • Configure laptops and install software for use with equipment


Your previous experience

  • Experience repairing and servicing equipment (in-house and on customer sites)
  • Local to Cambridge and happy with some global travel
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and logical thinking skills
  • Direct customer technical support experience
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with good listening skills
  • Competent with computers, operating systems and major software tools
  • Full UK driving licence, clean record
  • Professional, discreet and able to represent the brand on-site


Package

  • £35,000 – £40,000 base salary + bonus (DOE)
  • Excellent progression routes as the company grows
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
