Our Client, Rochdale Council, is seeking a Designated Safeguarding & Child Protection Officer to join their service!

Responsibilities of this role:
- Lead on safeguarding and child protection within the organisation
- Identify, record, and respond to safeguarding concerns
- Make referrals to children’s social care and other agencies
- Liaise with professionals (social workers, police, health, schools)
- Ensure policies and procedures are followed
- Support staff on safeguarding issues
- Maintain confidential records
- Promote a safe culture for children and vulnerable people
Requirements of this role:
- Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
- Must have a Social Work qualification (Diploma in social work, social work degree or equivalent)
- Must have minimum of 3 years Post Qualifying experience working as a social worker
