Dawson Jones Recruitment is supporting an education provider with the appointment of an experienced Estates Manager to lead the operational delivery of estates services across a multi-site education portfolio.


This is a key role for an estates and facilities professional who can ensure buildings are safe, compliant, well maintained and fit for purpose, while supporting a consistent and high quality approach to estate management.


The role will include:

  • Leading planned and reactive maintenance across multiple sites
  • Managing statutory compliance including fire, asbestos, legionella, electrical testing and health and safety
  • Overseeing CAFM systems, asset registers, compliance records and remedial actions
  • Supporting premises and site teams to drive consistency and performance
  • Managing contractors, permits to work, risk assessments and service delivery standards
  • Supporting capital projects, condition surveys, estate planning and sustainability initiatives
  • Providing clear reporting on compliance, estate performance, risk and budgets
  • Overseeing cleaning and catering service delivery across the estate


Experience required

  • Senior estates or facilities management experience across multi site or complex environments
  • Strong knowledge of statutory compliance and health and safety
  • Experience managing maintenance programmes, contractors and site based teams
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage senior leaders and operational teams
  • A recognised health and safety qualification such as IOSH or NEBOSH
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites
  • Experience within education or public sector would be highly beneficial.
