Your Role:

We’re looking for an ambitious and experienced Business Development Director to join the team. Reporting to the Commercial Trading Director, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth across client direct & media agencies. With a proven record of revenue generation within data and Programmatic advertising and a deep interest and passion for digital media and innovation, you’ll love our products and know how to sell data solutions to clients and partners. You’re confident while staying humble, work hard, and know how to have fun.

On a day-to-day basis, you’ll be taking a consultative approach to sales, building relationships with new and existing international agency partners predominantly across EMEA and growing relationships with established clients alike. From initial pitches to hosting lunch and learns, to responding to briefs and closing opportunities, you’re eager to learn, naturally analytical and comfortable with leading a sales cycle from start to finish.

Finally, you like to actively participate in the development of our sales process, helping in sales enablement, and the creation of key tools and assets. You will be based in the UK, travel may be required internationally.

Your Role:

Day to Day:

  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients across EMEA (non-UK and Germany), allowing us to gain a better understanding of their businesses and position Semasio as an invaluable partner in overcoming their strategic opportunities and challenges with data.
  • Evangelise all things data and grow revenues by creating, maintaining, and sustaining relationships with media agencies and clients directly.
  • Focus on strategic and consultative selling, educating, and inspiring our clients to use data to enhance their client’s business objectives.
  • Maintain a high volume of in-person client engagement with brands and agencies.
  • Represent Semasio at events and serve as a brand ambassador, communicating our core narratives and reinforcing the strong position Semasio holds in the market.
  • Provide accurate forecasting, reporting and timely insights about your business and customers where required.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement internal strategic actions to improve efficiency.

Preferred Experience:

  • You have 6 to 8 years of commercial advertising experience at a brand, agency or sales role.
  • You have strong negotiation skills and can consultatively sell, present effectively, and have the resilience to chase down and close business.
  • You can build a pipeline and a proven track record of exceeding goals.
  • You have dexterity in creating reports and presentations using Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • You have a deep understanding of the digital ecosystem.
  • You are a team player, smart, adapt well to change, and have a positive attitude.
  • You can work in a fast-paced, exciting environment and across external and internal teams.
