Myn is currently recruiting for experienced and motivated Senior Social Workers to join high-performing Adult Social Care teams within a forward-thinking local authority. This is an excellent opportunity for an exemplary practitioner ready to take on a leadership role, champion reflective practice, and support adults and carers to achieve independence through person-centred, strength-based social work.

The Opportunity:
You will manage a complex caseload while providing professional leadership, mentoring colleagues and promoting innovative, high-quality adult social care practice.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing complex cases involving risk and safeguarding concerns
  • Leading Adult Safeguarding Enquiries in line with statutory procedures
  • Undertaking strengths-based assessments and developing person-centred support plans
  • Promoting independence through Direct Payments and Personal Budgets
  • Chairing planning and review meetings
  • Deputising for the Assistant Team Manager/Team Manager when required
  • Supervising and mentoring junior staff, ASYEs and students
  • Supporting reflective practice and professional development across the team
  • Working collaboratively with families, carers and partner agencies
  • Developing community-based support solutions
  • Maintaining accurate case records, assessments and reports
  • Applying key Adult Social Care legislation including the Care Act, MCA, MHA and Human Rights legislation


What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Social Worker (Degree in Social Work or equivalent)
  • Registered with Social Work England (SWE)
  • Significant post-qualified experience within Adult Social Care
  • Strong knowledge of Adult Safeguarding, Care Act, MCA and Mental Health legislation
  • Experience managing complex cases and safeguarding enquiries
  • Supervisory or mentoring experience
  • Excellent analytical, communication and decision-making skills
  • A strong commitment to person-centred, strengths-based practice
  • Ability to lead, mentor and model best practice
