Our client is seeking a highly skilled, technically driven Maintenance Manager to oversee engineering operations across two flagship student accommodation assets.
Working closely with senior leadership and on-site teams, you will take full responsibility for the performance, compliance, and continuous improvement of building services across both sites. Leading a team of engineers, you’ll play a key role in delivering a safe, efficient, and best-in-class living environment.
This is a high-profile position offering real ownership and influence, while remaining close to the day-to-day technical delivery. It’s ideally suited to someone who enjoys combining leadership with a hands-on approach, particularly from an M&E and electrical perspective.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong individual who thrives in a fast-paced, service-led environment and is looking to progress within a leading PBSA platform!
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee maintenance and engineering operations across two PBSA sites
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of six engineers, driving a high-performance culture
- Take ownership of all M&E systems, with a strong focus on electrical infrastructure, compliance, and fault-finding
- Deliver and continuously improve PPM and reactive maintenance performance
- Ensure full statutory compliance, H&S adherence, and audit readiness
- Manage contractor performance, ensuring quality, safety, and value for money
- Work closely with operational teams to enhance resident experience and service delivery
- Monitor budgets, control expenditure, and identify efficiencies and asset improvements
- Support lifecycle planning, capital works, and ongoing improvements across the assets
Your Requirements:
- Proven experience in a Maintenance Manager or senior engineering role within PBSA, residential, hospitality, or similar environments
- Strong M&E background with a clear electrical bias (qualifications preferred)
- Demonstrable experience leading and developing engineering teams
- Strong knowledge of building services, statutory compliance, and health & safety
- Ability to manage multiple priorities across a multi-site environment
- Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets and contractor performance
- Confident communicator, able to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Hands-on, proactive approach with a focus on delivering high standards
