Job Title: Account Manager – Contract Electronics Manufacturing (CEM/EMS)

Location: On Site in Hitchin

Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 basic + bonus + benefits

The Opportunity

We are recruiting for an Account Manager to join a well-established and growing Contract Electronics Manufacturing (CEM/EMS) business. This is a commercially focused role responsible for managing and developing key customer accounts while also identifying opportunities for organic growth within existing relationships.

You will operate in a highly technical environment, working closely with OEMs, procurement teams, and engineering stakeholders to deliver tailored electronics manufacturing solutions including PCB assembly and full turnkey services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of existing key accounts within the CEM/EMS sector
  • Develop strong, long-term relationships with OEMs, procurement, and engineering stakeholders
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing customers
  • Manage the full account lifecycle, from relationship development through to contract renewal and expansion
  • Work closely with internal engineering, production, and operations teams to ensure customer requirements are met
  • Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring high levels of service and satisfaction
  • Produce accurate forecasts, pipeline reporting, and account plans
  • Attend client meetings, industry events, and exhibitions across the UK

Requirements

  • Proven experience in an Account Management or Business Development role within the EMS/CEM industry (essential)
  • Strong understanding of electronics manufacturing processes and supply chains
  • Experience with PCB assembly (PCBA) and/or turnkey electronics manufacturing highly desirable
  • Demonstrated success in managing and growing key accounts
  • Strong commercial awareness with excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Full UK driving licence with willingness to travel nationally
