About our School
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled SEN Teacher (Art Specialist) to join a welcoming and inclusive Cognition and Learning Unit within a well-established mainstream primary school. You will work with a small group of KS1 and KS2 pupils with cognition and learning needs, delivering highly personalised teaching in Maths, English, and Art.
Responsibilities
- Take responsible for the quality of teaching and learning for pupils
- Plan and deliver well‑structured, differentiated lessons Maths and English.
- Inspire & support pupils to develop confidence and creativity in Art
- Enhance Art provision to support pupils with:
- Speech, language and communication needs
- Literacy difficulties
- Social, emotional and mental health needsComplex SEND profiles
- Work collaboratively with class teachers and leadership to support wider learning
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – desirable
- Experience SEN teaching at primary level
- Confident delivering practical and engaging Art lessons
- Able to create a positive, inclusive and well-structured learning environment
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
