Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic, and motivated nurse to join the Colorectal CNS team. This role involves being a lead within the team and will be directly responsible for line managing the band 6 CNS, patient support and admin staff, as well as working as an autonomous practitioner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a vital core member of the colorectal MDT, providing specialist advice and support to patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Lead on the Lynch Geonomics and help support patients through this.
  • Act as a key worker for patients with colorectal cancer throughout their cancer journey.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence in communicating with staff at all levels within the organisation as well as patients and families.
  • Sound clinical reasoning skills and ability to prioritise workload to meet competing demands.
  • Management skills such as using health roster, managing sickness, appraisals and performance.
