The Social Media Officer manages Oxford Pride’s social media presence, focusing on engaging the community and promoting the flagship Pride event.
Responsibilities
- Promote the Pride Event and other activities.
- Build community engagement and following.
- Ensure content reflects Oxford Pride’s brand and values.
- Report on audience growth and engagement.
Skills Required
- Familiarity with social media platforms.
- Ability to create engaging, inclusive content.
- Awareness of LGBTQIA+ community issues and inclusivity.
- Organisational skills for scheduling and monitoring engagement.
Time Commitment
- 2–3 hours per month.
- Additional support the day before, during, and after the Pride Event.
Ideal Candidate
- Active user of social media with an eye for creative and engaging content.
- Has experience running or supporting accounts for an organisation, campaign, or community group.
- Enthusiastic about growing Oxford Pride’s online presence and connecting with the community.
