Toolroom Engineer
We are partnering with a leading manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Toolroom Engineer. This role supports the production, repair, and improvement of tooling, as well as small-batch part manufacture for NPI, sampling, and testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce, repair, and enhance moulding and assembly tooling
- Machine tooling and piece parts to tight tolerances
- Develop new tooling solutions to support manufacturing efficiency
- Work confidently from drawings, CAD models, and verbal instructions
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and process engineering teams
- Maintain safe working practices and support all Health & Safety standards
About You
- City & Guilds (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
- Time-served apprenticeship in a toolmaking environment
- Previous experience as a Toolroom Engineer/Toolmaker
- Skilled in milling, turning, grinding, and/or spark erosion
- Strong understanding of precision machining and tool manufacture
- Able to manage workloads and work independently or as part of a team
Desirable
CAD/CAM, CNC experience, EDM, moulding knowledge, prototyping or small-batch work.
