We are looking for a Senior Practitioner Psychologist to provide a high quality and highly specialised psychology service for Trust staff. The successful candidate will provide appropriate support for Trust staff that is complementary to the resources offered regionally and nationally.
You will be a highly specialist resource on psychological care to the wider service and will coordinate and contribute to providing education, training and supervision activities to enhance psychological support and treatment across the service.
This post is for 12 months maternity cover, 22.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Provide highly developed specialist psychological assessments of staff based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of complex data from a variety of sources.
- Implement a range of highly specialist psychological interventions, and in synthesis, adjust and refine psychological formulations drawing upon different explanatory models while maintaining a number of provisional hypotheses.
- Make highly skilled evaluations and decisions about treatment options taking into account both theoretical and therapeutic models and highly complex factors concerning historical and developmental processes that have shaped the individual, family or group.
- Provide expertise and specialist psychological advice, guidance and consultation to other professionals contributing directly to staff members’ treatment.
- Provide expertise and advice to facilitate the effective and appropriate provision of psychological care by all members of the clinical team(s) involved with the care of staff members.
- Provide expert consultation about the psychological care of staff members to relevant staff and agencies outside the Trust.
