General Information:

  • To provide specialist MSK podiatry treatment to clients within the Bexley community, through application of research & evidence-based care.
  • To work within primary and community care teams to provide a multi-disciplinary approach to improvement of foot pathology.
  • To provide specialist musculoskeletal advice to all health professionals in Greenwich including other Podiatrists.
  • Provide referral on to other services including physiotherapy, Pain Management, Orthopaedics, Rheumatology, Specialist Foot service, Surgical appliances, Neurology, Orthotics, Imaging and Secondary Care.
  • To provide a clinical assessment service to triage referrals for MSK type conditions with a view to providing the most appropriate treatment or onward referral as required.
  • Provide access for patients to an appropriate skill set that will deliver the best outcomes for non-surgical musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Reduce the number of referrals to secondary care specialist consultants for patients whose condition does not require that level of specialist treatment or intervention.
  • Refer only those patients to secondary care that require specialist assessment which is beyond the scope of the Adults MSK Team.

Working Pattern:

Working Monday to Friday

Monday – Thursday 08:00am – 19:00pm, Friday 08:00am – 17:30pm

Duration – 3 months

Role Requirements:

  • A proactive approach and willingness to contribute within busy teams
  • Must have the right to work in the UK and be physically present in the UK at the time of application
  • Valid registration with the relevant governing body (NMC and/or HCPC)
  • Fully compliant with NHS Framework or individual client standards.

Rates:

  • Approx days. £31.18 Per Hour Dependant on experience & client approval
  • Approx Bank Holidays £48.51 Per Hour Dependant on experience & client approval

  • East & West Midlands (including Birmingham and Nottingham)

Minimum Requirements to Apply:

  • Registration with the relevant professional body (HCPC/NMC)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Minimum of 6 months’ relevant experience
